The " Nothing New ad" campaign ad highlights Barack Obama's position on taking no side on the federal government bailout of AIG. Obama has voted Present in the following issues: teaching discipline, providing patients' rights and tough penalties on criminals. Since Barack voted 130 times present when he was a state senator.

McCain's ad is making fun of Obama because Obama is voting present. Which is neither for or against the issue. McCain thinks that because Obama voted present on teaching disciplines, providing patients' rights and tough penalties on criminals, that Obama will vote present on bigger issues if he is given the title of president.

The Nothing New Ad targets Obama's voters. McCain wants them to see that Obama isn't the right candidate for our President. He is trying to make his audience switch to his side so he can win.

The ad that McCain came out with is a personal ad against Obama. It shows how Obama himself is not ready for the the role as the president of the United States. The people of the United States do not want a president that puts aside issues that are important. They need one that will take action when help is needed.

Most people would think that the ad is a negative one towards obama and its true.
McCain is going against Obama to try and take down his credability with the people. This is just one of many negative ads McCain has come out with against Obama. It is negative ad because it shows how Obama has voted present over 130 times in the Illinois state legislative. And if he has done it before that it is pretty sure he will do it again as the president of our country.

The main argument that McCain is using against Obama is that he voted nearly 130 times present in the Illinois state legislative. He is tyring to show the people that Obama does not care about any of the issues that are comming up. So now that the american people see that they think that Obama doesnt care for them or the real issues at hand. McCain wants the people to believe that Obama won't take action, but he will.

The evidence used against Obama by McCain, is that Obama voted present while he was a senator 130 times on some very important issues that would affect all of hte people of the United States. MCCain is trying to convince the people that if Obama is elected president, he wont step up and speak out about the issues or do anything at all to improve them.

In 1998, Barack Obama voted "present" on a bill requiring public schools to teach discipline and respect.Barack Obama voted "present" on the managed care Patients Rights Act in the Illinois State Senate. In 1999, Barack Obama voted "present" on a bill requiring mandatory adult prosecution for aggravated discharge of firearms on or near school property.Barack voted "present" in 2001 for a bill that would increase the penalties on selling drugs. The claims made in the ad are correct. They are very accurate and they aren't lying about Obama's voting 130 times present while being a state legislature.

This ad is effective because the things he says are very important because it is a big thing that Obama has to deal with.It would change my mind because I woudn't know if he can make the right decision in a very difficult time.

Strengths:
  • voted 130 times present
  • he has no position on bail out

Weaknesses:
  • the past is the past
  • Obama is a changed man.
